Job description
The Network Systems Engineer designs, installs, maintains, and secures an organization's IT infrastructure. They optimize performance, troubleshoot complex issues, automate deployments, configure network components, and deploy firewall rules to ensure maximum uptime and data integrity., * Developing scripts (Python, Perl, Shell) to automate routine middleware and network tasks.
- Developed automated scripts for routine maintenance, reducing administrative downtime.
- Manage network uptime for enterprise systems by troubleshooting and upgrading infrastructure components.
- Build and maintain network automation workflows using Ansible, Python, and REST APIs for network configuration backups, rollbacks, and device management.
- Develop automation solutions to streamline network provisioning, configuration compliance, and lifecycle operations.
- Troubleshooting complex integrations across batch, API, and Java applications to ensure smooth data flow.
- Design, implement, and configure physical/virtual networking hardware including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.
- Conduct end-to-end testing of network configurations to ensure reliability and performance before and during deployment.
- Work with cross-functional teams (System Engineers, DevOps) to integrate new systems and manage capacity planning.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Experienced in network engineering with a focus on deployment, migration, and maintenance.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Information Technology professional
- Experience with Middleware products: Apache, J2EE, Java, JBoss, WebSphere Application Server, WebLogic, Tomcat
- Experience with Linux OS
- Knowledge of Java Container Framework
- Knowledge of Shell, Python, and Perl scripting
- Understanding of Network infrastructure HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, Load-balancers, firewalls, proxies, B2B links
- Experience with Release Deploy Tools Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, Bitbucket, Celestial
- Associate's Degree, * Automation skills working with Python, or other tools
- Ansible experience deploying install packages
- Prior bank experience
- Worked with WebSphere Extreme Scale, BRMS Middleware Administration
- DEVOPS experience
- Work with Other products: BMC Remedy, Harmon mDeliver
