Job description
We are seeking a senior-level Data Engineer with SAP experience, ideally with exposure to the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module, to support an enterprise client in the utilities / renewable energy space. This role will focus on extracting, modeling, and enabling analytics from SAP PM data while partnering closely with SAP functional and data teams., * Design, build, and maintain data pipelines sourcing data from SAP, with a primary focus on SAP PM.
- Partner with SAP PM functional analysts to translate maintenance concepts and requirements into analytics-ready data models.
- Extract, transform, and model SAP PM data for reporting and operational insights.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across SAP-sourced datasets.
- Provide technical guidance and enablement to client data engineers, including best practices and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact data solutions in a consulting environment.
Requirements
The ideal candidate combines strong data engineering fundamentals, prior SAP experience, and the ability to quickly ramp into new SAP domains while guiding and enabling client data engineers., * Strong experience as a Data Engineer on enterprise data platforms.
- Prior hands-on experience working with SAP data (ECC and/or S/4HANA).
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with analytical data modeling.
- Ability to work closely with SAP functional teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring, enabling, or upskilling other data engineers.
- Strong communication skills and comfort in a client-facing role., * Direct experience with SAP PM (Plant Maintenance).
- Background in utilities, energy, or renewable energy industries.
- Experience supporting SAP analytics or reporting use cases.
- Willingness to travel to Florida 50%

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $80/hr to $95/hr. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
