Job description
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead to design and implement enterprise-wide data governance frameworks that enhance data quality, ownership, security, and trust. This role is critical for organizations advancing their analytics and AI capabilities while ensuring strong governance practices across data ecosystems. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic vision and hands-on execution, ensuring governance is practical, scalable, and widely adopted across business and technology teams. Responsibilities
- Establish and implement enterprise data governance frameworks, including policies, standards, and operating models
- Define data ownership, stewardship roles, and accountability across business units
- Lead data quality initiatives, including monitoring, issue resolution, and performance tracking
- Develop and manage metadata, data cataloging, lineage, and classification processes
- Collaborate with privacy, security, and compliance teams to align governance with regulatory requirements
- Facilitate governance councils and cross-functional decision-making forums
- Create governance documentation, training materials, and adoption strategies

Requirements
- Proven experience leading enterprise data governance initiatives
- Strong understanding of data quality, metadata management, lineage, and governance tools
- Experience working in regulated or complex enterprise environments
- Knowledge of data privacy, compliance, and risk management frameworks
- Ability to collaborate across business and technical teams, * Experience supporting data platforms, analytics, or AI/ML initiatives
- Background in industries such as healthcare, finance, government, or large enterprise IT
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Must-Have Skills
- Experience building data governance programs from the ground up
