The Early Career Security Engineer supports the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of cybersecurity controls across enterprise systems and networks. This role is ideal for candidates at the start of their security careers who want hands-on exposure to security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, and security tooling while working closely with senior security engineers., * Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM, endpoint, and network security tools

• Assist with incident response activities including investigation, containment, and documentation
• Support vulnerability scanning, remediation tracking, and risk reporting
• Help administer identity and access management controls (user access reviews, permissions, MFA)
• Assist in maintaining security controls for servers, endpoints, cloud platforms, and network devices
• Review logs and alerts to identify suspicious or anomalous activity
• Support security audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives
• Document security procedures, playbooks, and standard operating processes
• Escalate complex security events to senior engineers as required

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1-2 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, SOC, or systems support roles
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (CIA triad, least privilege, defense-in-depth)
• Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs)
• Exposure to operating systems such as Windows and Linux
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
• Ability to work onsite in Miami, FL, five days per week, * Internship, lab, or hands-on experience in security or SOC environments
• Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, or firewalls
• Entry-level certifications such as Security+, SSCP, Network+, or equivalent (or in progress)
• Exposure to cloud security fundamentals (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Interest in long-term growth into Security Engineer, SOC Analyst, or Cloud Security roles
