Job description

  • Manages the complete lifecycle of IT change requests, from logging and assessment through to post-implementation review, ensuring controlled and effective execution to minimize service disruption.
  • Coordinates extensively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and the Change Advisory Board (CAB) to facilitate smooth change implementation.
  • Conducts thorough risk assessments, develops detailed implementation and rollback plans, and ensures meticulous documentation throughout the change process.
  • Leads the scheduling and coordination of change activities, monitors progress, provides timely updates, and clearly communicates change details to all relevant audiences.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of change management processes by analyzing post-implementation reviews and identifying areas for optimization, working under the guidance of senior staff.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or 4 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a degree.
  • 4+ years of experience with 2+ years of position relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL-informed best practices and change management principles.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing Change Implementation Plans.
  • Proficiency in using ITSM tools and technologies (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk)., * Experience in IT service management, with a focus on change management.
  • Experience working in agile-informed or DevOps environments, with familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Experience in training or mentoring junior staff.
  • Experience in automating change management workflows.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
