Job description
The Network Engineer is a member of the Information Technology Division and reports to the Network Manager. The position is expected, among other specific job duties, to have the ability to do the following:
- Ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network and all connected PCs and peripherals, including planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.
- Analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provides end user training where required.
- Availability to work on Stand-by.
- Provide excellent communication skills and customer service skills.

Assists users with problems, projects, or changes and provides 1st and 2nd level Helpdesk/Network/Application support.

Configures, installs, maintains, and troubleshoots all network related hardware/equipment. Installs and performs Moves/Add/Changes for all Network/End User equipment as well as their related applications. Monitors and maintains all network equipment, usage, storage, and network related programs/applications. Implements and Upgrades all hardware and software for servers, network equipment, network applications, etc.

Plans and implements projects as part of team member or in an individual capacity.

Creates new user or group accounts in various network systems and insures that proper permissions and/or NTFS file permissions are set properly as per Management request.

Troubleshoots all aspects of the data and voice network which would include multiple local/remote locations (Subnets, VLANS) connected via Ethernet/MetroE/Fiber/Wireless, DSL/Cable, VPN, etc.

Works with and configures PC/Network OS's and programs such as Windows 7/10, Server 2008/2012, VMWare, VDI Horizon, ESXi, Cisco IOS, Cisco Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Cisco Call Manager, Unity, Exchange, etc. Works with IT and other Departments and/or outside vendors/consultants on various IT support issues as they arise.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.

Minimum of three year relevant experience.

Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License
