Job description
Are you a hands-on Product Owner who thrives at sprint level and loves turning product vision into perfectly formed user stories? Do you enjoy working side-by-side with engineers and designers to ship valuable software that genuinely improves the customer experience? If so, we'd love to talk. About the Role We're looking for a Product Owner to join our Codeweavers team, supporting the delivery of software products used across the automotive retail industry. You'll operate at the heart of delivery-embedded within one to two Scrum teams-owning the backlog, shaping stories, and ensuring sprint outcomes deliver real customer value. Reporting to a Product Manager, you'll act as the vital bridge between product strategy and execution, making sure teams are always working on the right things, in the right way, at the right time. What You'll Be Doing
- Translating epics and features into clear, high-quality user stories with unambiguous acceptance criteria
- Owning and maintaining a prioritised, well-structured backlog aligned to business value and delivery feasibility
- Leading backlog refinement and contributing actively to all Scrum ceremonies
- Working closely with engineering and design to validate feasibility, identify dependencies, and remove blockers early
- Providing real-time clarification and scope decisions during sprints to keep delivery moving
- Reviewing and accepting completed work through rigorous acceptance testing
- Partnering with Product Managers and stakeholders to track progress, demonstrate value, and incorporate feedback
Requirements
You'll be confident operating in an agile delivery environment and passionate about doing Product Ownership "properly". You'll bring:
- 3+ years' experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar agile role
- A strong track record of creating clear, actionable, high-quality user stories
- Excellent backlog management and sprint-level prioritisation skills
- Confidence working with Scrum teams and agile tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- The ability to engage credibly with engineers on technical considerations
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to make clear, timely decisions
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with B2B SaaS products
- Exposure to automotive retail, dealership workflows, or customer buying journeys
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and working closely with design teams
Benefits & conditions
- Be embedded with delivery teams where your decisions directly shape outcomes
- Work on real-world products used by customers every day
- A collaborative, respectful agile environment where quality matters
- Clear ownership, trust, and the freedom to influence how things are built
- Opportunities to grow, learn, and refine your craft as a Product Owner
