Job description

  • Primary support and maintenance of the Linux estate
  • AWS infrastructure support across EC2, ECS, Lambda, and more
  • Automate builds, scaling, monitoring, and patching
  • Collaborate with Software Development and DevOps teams on infrastructure needs
  • Identify improvements to efficiency and service quality
  • Document systems and uphold security standards

  • Cloud, We are a thriving technology team based in Crewe, looking for a hands-on infrastructure specialist who will play a critical role in maintaining our systems. Our modern purpose-built campus features a gym, café, barista bar, changing rooms, and plenty of breakout spaces, with breakfast included. You will work closely with our Software Development and DevOps colleagues to ensure optimal performance of our infrastructure. Please note that the successful candidate will need to undergo an NPPV Level 3 vetting check as part of the onboarding process.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial Linux experience
  • Extensive experience with AWS
  • Proficiency in Ubuntu, Apache, PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Nginx, and Postfix
  • Experience with EC2, ECS, Lambda, VPC, Route53, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, and Terraform
  • Scripting knowledge in Python or Bash
  • Understanding of IT security standards
  • Minimum 3 days per week onsite in Crewe
