Job description

Salary £40,777 - £46,142 Per Annum (Pay Award Pending) | Permanent | Full time, 37 hours per week | Hybrid working International Sponsorship - this role is not open to international sponsorship. At Lancashire County Council, we're modernising how data flows across the organisation and beyond - and we're looking for an Azure Integration Engineer to help make it happen. This is a great opportunity to work on large-scale, meaningful integrations that support frontline services, improve decision-making, and enable modern digital and data-driven solutions across the county. What you'll be doing

  • Design and develop secure, scalable integration solutions using modern cloud technologies
  • Build and manage APIs using tools such as Azure API Management and Logic Apps
  • Develop and optimise SQL queries, views and stored procedures
  • Work closely with data architects, business analysts and application teams
  • Troubleshoot, test and support integrations to ensure reliability
  • Implement aspects of the data strategy by aligning integration practices with LCC enterprise architecture and data strategy objectives
  • Maintain technical documentation and standards

Requirements

  • Experience with integration technologies such as REST, APIs, JSON and XML
  • Experience creating Integrations using Azure or other cloud platforms (e.g. AWS)
  • Strong SQL / T-SQL skills
  • Experience with data integration and ETL processes
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments including CI/CD and automation.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • A commitment to quality, collaboration and continuous improvement
