Software Engineer

• Manage the full software lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and commissioning of automation solutions
• Collaborate with engineering team members to support project delivery
• Ensure systems meet technical, safety, and client requirements

• Proven experience developing automation software within industrial or infrastructure environments
• Strong working knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems used in water, wastewater, or similar sectors
• Experience producing design documentation such as FDS, system architecture designs, and PLC I/O lists
• Hands-on capability developing PLC software and HMI solutions to defined standards
• Experience testing software using simulation or hardware and supporting commissioning activity
• Relevant electrical qualification or equivalent industry experience
• Holds the right to work in the UK on a permanent basis

We are Ceto Talent, and we are recruiting a Software Engineer to join our established automation team delivering PLC and SCADA solutions across water and wastewater projects in Northern Ireland. This is a permanent, hybrid role offering long-term stability and involvement in technically complex engineering projects from design through to commissioning. We offer a base salary of £50,000 - £60,000, along with a pension contribution, ongoing training and development, and exposure to critical infrastructure automation projects.
