Job description
The Accessible Technology Support Tech works with Student Accessibility Services, and additional support departments to aid faculty in ensuring that online instructional materials meet state and federal accessibility standards., Support accessibility tasks delegated by the Accessible Technology Coordinator and additional Student Accessibility Services staff. Communicate regularly with faculty during the creation and remediation of course materials for accessibility compliance. Use provided technology to help faculty enhance student learning, access, equity, and Universal Design in all instructional modes, in all instructional modes (remote, streaming, online, etc.). Advise users on tools and features in the learning management system ( LMS ) in creating and accessing accessible course materials. Other department duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education: High School diploma or GED Experience: One-year experience communicating complex situations/information to customers and/or clients, Education: Associates Degree Experience: 1-year prior experience working in a higher education environment Basic knowledge of academic technologies such as Canvas, Camtasia, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel, ALLY , Readspeaker, Adobe Acrobat or similar.
