Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will succeed in this role if they have both knowledge and technical depth about the company and the industry. This is essential as they will be a central person in the decision making process, working with multiple individuals across different teams when necessary. As a result, they will also be overseeing specific personnel., * 10+ years of recent, hands-on engineering work with Apigee, MuleSoft or IBM Integration Bus, and Ping Federate

5+ years in a leadership capacity
Strong communication skills
Deep technical background in APIs, SOA, microservices, and architectural best practices
Ability to champion API-first, microservices, SOA, and cloud-native approaches
Provide technical direction and governance for Apigee
Critical requirement: oversight of Apigee, ESB platforms, and .NET API ecosystems
Strong appetite for continuous learning and expanding technical breadth
Solid understanding of SOA, API-first integration, microservices, SSO, and container platforms
Demonstrated expertise in enterprise integration patterns, event streaming (Kafka, Event Hubs), and asynchronous messaging
Guide design and implementation of Java or .NET APIs, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security, and performance
Java experience is acceptable as long as the candidate can provide architectural guidance
Familiarity with cloud platforms-Azure preferred, but AWS or GCP also relevant
Broad understanding of cloud integration and migration strategies
Lead architectural governance, standards, design reviews, and collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure cohesive delivery
High-level understanding of security architecture, including API security, identity and access models (OAuth, OIDC), zero-trust concepts, and secure cloud design
Must demonstrate active engagement with modern technologies (POCs, emerging AI concepts, etc.)
