The Sr. Manager primarily supports the accounting user community, including the areas of balance sheet account reconciliations, revenue accounting and close related processing, including GL interfaces, journals, valuation and translation. We seek an individual who is inquisitive, analytical and driven to solve problems to be a partner on the Financial Systems team. Fiserv's Financial Systems team leads the planning, development, implementation, and governance of tools/processes in our financial systems landscape (SAP). The team plays a key role in enabling the long-term success of the Finance organization, its business partners and Fiserv overall.
What you'll do:
- Manage and be actively involved in system related projects within accounting, including initial conversion of businesses to SAP S4 as well as process improvement, tool enhancements and system integration after conversion.
- Communicate frequently with system users, technical counterparts and functional teammates.
- Be organized and own your deliverables; manage projects and coordinate work amongst you, involved associates and external vendors.
- Use influence to accomplish needed tasks among our accounting business community, our technical counterparts and functional peers.
- Manage multiple deadlines and respond quickly to management requests.
- Learn the difference between an item you can resolve on your own or an item that needs to be escalated.
- Work in a changing environment; changing existing processes, technologies and people within accounting to drive standardization of best practices.
- Reviewing analytically existing processes, * This role is on-site Monday through Friday in Milwaukee, WI. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experience helps you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
- This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of business experience, 2 years of accounting experience
- Experience working through projects to completion, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to translate accounting and reporting requirements into system and process solutions.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, financial reporting tools, and related financial applications, such as Oracle, SAP, Workday, BlackLine, Hyperion, or similar platforms.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Science or Business
- MBA
- Experience working with offshore relationships
- Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or finance transformation programs.
- Experience with SAP functionality, technology testing and processes.
- Proven experience in Waterfall/Agile methodologies, You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role.
