Job description
This position is responsible for delivering and maintaining high-impact, data-driven insights, recommendations, and metrics around trading activity and trends for the Institutional US Rates platform. An ideal candidate will be a natural problem solver, strategic thinker with intellectual curiosity, results driven, and possess a strong interest in finance and data analytics., * Utilize Python, SQL, Tableau, VBA, and agentic tools to create useful, visually appealing dashboards and applications for internal and external use
- Build and test models to predict market trends such as trade cost and pricing based on publicly available and proprietary data, using traditional methods as well as machine learning when appropriate
- Leverage AI and coding agents to improve workflows and increase efficiency
- Partner with sales, product, and senior management teams to create and maintain effective and compelling analysis and reports
- Develop working relationships across multiple internal departments to effectively collect and analyze data
- Understand reporting infrastructures and adjust accordingly to align with data governance, compliance, marketing, and business needs
- Identify external data requests that need to be streamlined to allow for more efficient ways to provide approved data to clients
- Analyze trading and market data to identify trends and patterns in market and customer behavior, and generate recommendations to optimize across different dimensions
- Identify opportunities to create revenue-generating data products beyond standard reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business, Finance, or a related analytical field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience
- Ability to ask the right questions and solve problems effectively
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and other stakeholders
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently on a daily basis
- Proven analytical skills and ability to create reports and model data
- Fluency in Tableau and other data visualization software is required
- Advanced Excel skills are required
- SQL experience is required
- Python experience is required
- Experience and understanding of Rates and Fixed Income Markets is a plus

- The current pay range for this role, if performed in New York City, is $100,000 to $250,000 per year based on a full-time schedule. Compensation is determined by factors including qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
