Job description
We're looking for a business associate who is passionate about building and scaling our Sales Analytics function within Commercial Ops.
Working closely with both regional and global Commercial Ops and cross-functional teams in finance and global Delivery, this person will manage end to end projects, dig into sales data, uncover insights, then develop and socialize viewpoints to realize step-change improvements in our business - increasing sales productivity, including optimal process structures for innovative partnerships, and supporting aggressive OKRs across the globe.
The scope of this role is global for Delivery (Uber Eats).
What You'll Do:
- Analyze - Build models to evaluate the economics, value, and opportunity costs of programs and potential partners to drive the optimal selection strategy across new markets, and multiply sales headcount productivity
- Partner with regional Sales Ops, S&P, and Sales Management to help shape the Uber Delivery Sales organization, future direction, and strategy
- Set up and maintain ongoing tracking of pricing and strategic deals, provide proactive insight into variances vs targets, and find opportunities for improvement
- Be a specialist in financial, operational, and performance aspects of the Uber Delivery Sales function and the broader business
- Help identify and communicate meaningful insights to cross-functional partners
Requirements
- At least 3+ years' experience in finance, strategy, consulting, or data analytics experience
- Advanced proficiency with SQL (Presto, Hive, etc)
- Intermediate proficiency with Python (Pandas, Streamlit, etc)
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data visualization solutions, such as Tableau
- Experience with project management software, such as Asana
- Understanding of Salesforce fundamentals
- Experience in problem-solving and passion for prioritizing and deconstructing complex problems effectively and consistently
- Analytical skills: an aptitude for framing business questions with data, translating business needs into strategies, and executing tactics and process improvements
- Experience with financial planning and a strong understanding of the P&L
- Experience with pricing and revenue management
- Effective, clear, and concise interpersonal skills, verbal and written. Experience communicating with executives and cross-functional teams alike, including technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to negotiate priorities with internal partners at all levels
- Self-starter and able to work independently
- Experience working with teams across global time zones
Benefits & conditions
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$102,000 per year - USD$113,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
