Job description
We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist to join the Software as Medical Device (SaMD) squad. At Implicity, we're transforming the management of cardiac conditions by providing innovative AI-powered medical devices. Our squad is building, deploying and maintaining advanced solutions that empower healthcare professionals, optimise their workflows, and ultimately improve patient lives.

Reporting structure
Direct report: Marika (Data Scientist Manager).
Collaboration: You will work closely with the SaMD squad (Data Scientists and ML Engineers), the Clinical team for medical relevance, and the Product Manager for roadmap alignment. Cross-functional collaboration is at the heart of how we operate., As Senior Data Scientist, your core mission will include:
- Research & Development: Drive the research, development and validation of AI-based medical devices, leveraging Implicity's database of +100,000 patients.
- Clinical collaboration: Collaborate with our Clinical team to ensure the medical relevance of our AI projects for both patients and caregivers.
- Translate research into reality: Collaborate on the data ingestion pipeline and on the deployment, monitoring and maintenance of our AI-based medical devices in production, which directly impact the daily work of over 300 caregivers.
- Scientific publications: Contribute to scientific publications in collaboration with our Clinical team.
- Continuous improvement: Proactively develop new skills, share knowledge within the team, and contribute to our culture of innovation and experimentation.
Requirements
- Education: A Master's degree, Engineering degree, or PhD in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline
- 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Science
- An extensive knowledge of Machine Learning / Statistics, Python and SQL
- Proficiency in French and English
- Ability to work autonomously, proactively develop new skills, and share knowledge within the team
- A team player mindset, with a genuine desire to contribute to the success of your colleagues
Bonus points:
- Experience with developing and maintaining production-grade software systems
- Proficiency in at least one major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure, …)
- A passion for working in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment
- Prior experience within the healthcare industry
Even better:
- Direct experience with Software as Medical Devices that have achieved CE marking or FDA approval
- Ability to work with large-scale datasets

- For this job (full-time), you have a base salary between €55-60k depending on your experience
