Job description

Working closely with our Cloud Solutions Architect and alongside another Cloud Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering secure, high-performing cloud environments for our customers.

From migrations to optimisation, you'll contribute to projects that improve accessibility, resilience, and efficiency across school IT - ensuring minimal disruption to teaching and learning.

This role is based at our HQ in Walton-on-Thames, reflecting the collaborative, in-person nature of the team and customer engagement.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the deployment, configuration, and optimisation of cloud infrastructure (Azure and Google Cloud)
  • Assisting with cloud migration projects from on-premise to modern cloud environments
  • Monitoring system performance, availability, and usage to ensure reliability and efficiency
  • Troubleshooting cloud-related issues including connectivity, performance, and configuration challenges
  • Contributing to automation and scripting to streamline processes and reduce manual effort
  • Supporting backup, disaster recovery, and security best practices
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless integration with school systems
  • Assisting with documentation, reporting, and client communication
  • Participating in customer discussions, translating technical concepts into clear, practical guidance

Requirements

  • A strong foundation in cloud technologies and a desire to build deeper expertise
  • Experience (or exposure) to Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud environments
  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and share knowledge
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Strong communication skills, especially when working with non-technical users
  • An interest in education and making a meaningful impact in schools
