Job description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Bristol team. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining robust software systems, contributing to architectural decisions, and supporting the delivery of high-quality solutions.
You will work in a collaborative and agile environment, playing a key role in driving technical excellence and innovation.
Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware Development
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-quality software applications
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and consistency
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues
Architecture & Design
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable
- Evaluate and implement modern technologies and frameworks
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders
- Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning and retrospectives
- Deliver features and enhancements within agreed timelines
Mentorship & Leadership
- Mentor and support junior developers
- Promote best practices and continuous improvement within the team
- Contribute to building a strong engineering culture
Quality & Performance
- Implement automated testing and ensure high code quality
- Optimise application performance and scalability
- Ensure adherence to security and data protection standards
Requirements
Do you have experience in Software development?, * Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer or similar role
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript)
- Experience with modern frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, .NET, Node.js, React, Angular)
- Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control systems (Git)
Experience & Qualifications
- Strong experience across the full software development lifecycle
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred)

Pay: £76,000.00-£81,526.13 per year
