Senior Software Developer (3 month intial) Location: Derby - off site Salary: £500 Inside
A Senior Software Developer is required to join a delivery-focused Service Team working for a global name, maintaining and evolving live software systems that support client solutions. This is a hands-on, client-facing role, ideal for someone with 3+ years' commercial experience who enjoys working on production systems and delivering improvements that directly impact clients. Candidates must have or be eligible for SC clearance.
Role Highlights
- Maintain, enhance and deploy production applications using Python (Djnago, Flask, FastAPI), JavaScript (React), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Develop new features, improvements, and integration's based on client feedback, service metrics, or evolving requirements
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve live system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to clients
- Participate in agile delivery, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and service review meetings
- Collaborate directly with client stakeholders, engineers, and analysts, presenting technical updates clearly and professionally
- Support automation of monitoring, testing, and deployment pipelines, contributing to CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure applications remain secure, performance, and aligned with service-level objectives (SLOs/SLAs)
- Contribute to continuous improvement of service delivery processes, technical standards, and team practices
