Job description
This role is a management/technology consulting position with a data and AI specialism, responsible for leading client engagements, advising CIO/CDO-level stakeholders, and translating business challenges into effective data and AI solutions., * Lead data and AI consulting engagements end-to-end, owning client outcomes across data strategy, platforms, analytics, and AI initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to CIOs, Chief Data Officers, and senior technology leaders, confidently translating business challenges into practical, value-driven data and AI solutions.
- Ensure structured, high-quality consulting delivery, acting as an engagement manager or workstream lead as required.
- Design, shape, and evolve data and AI consulting propositions, creating reusable methodologies, frameworks, and playbooks.
- Support sales and consulting colleagues by providing technical credibility in client meetings and contributing to proposals, statements of work, and solution design.
- Identify and shape new data and AI opportunities based on client needs and emerging market demand
- Act as the internal lead for data and AI, mentoring consultants and supporting capability development across the practice.
- Contribute to thought leadership by staying close to developments in data, analytics, and AI, and helping position the firm as a credible advisor in AI-enabled transformation.
Requirements
- We're looking for a commercially minded consultant with Data & AI expertise who wants to lead client delivery and play a defining role in building a growing consulting practice.
- An experienced management or technology consultant with a strong focus on data, analytics, and AI, operating at Manager, Senior Manager, or Principal level within a Big Four or boutique consultancy.
- Proven experience leading data and AI consulting engagements, from problem definition through to structured delivery and client outcomes.
- Strong grounding in modern data architectures, platforms, analytics, and AI, with the credibility to engage confidently with both technical specialists and senior business stakeholders.
- Comfortable advising CIOs, Chief Data Officers, and Heads of Data, bridging business strategy and technical delivery with clarity and pragmatism.
- Demonstrated engagement management and consulting delivery skills, producing high-quality outputs such as strategies, roadmaps, target-state designs, and business cases.
- Commercially aware, with experience supporting opportunity shaping, proposals, statements of work, and client presentations.
- Entrepreneurial in mindset and motivated by the opportunity to build and shape a growing Data & AI capability, rather than inherit a fully established practice.
- Confident operating in ambiguity, proactive in identifying opportunities, and focused on creating long-term value for clients and the firm.

- Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 basic, depending on experience.
