Job description
- Lead the development of semiconductor laser diode packaging technologies
- Manage and develop a specialist engineering and technical team
- Drive improvements in manufacturing processes and production efficiency
- Support the expansion of production facilities and capabilities
- Develop and implement quality control and production traceability systems
- Provide technical support to resolve complex packaging and production issues
- Work closely with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams
Requirements
- Strong experience in semiconductor packaging (ideally laser diodes, photonics, or high-power devices)
- Proven ability to improve and scale manufacturing processes
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Solid understanding of materials, processes, and reliability considerations
- Experience with quality control and production systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capability
- Ability to interpret technical and scientific documentation
- Competence in Python and Excel
- Hands-on, adaptable approach with a willingness to learn
