Job description
- Architect, manage, and support Microsoft Hyper-V clusters, including failover clustering, live migration, and Storage Spaces Direct (S2D)
- Administer System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) for host management, networking, VM provisioning, and lifecycle operations
- Configure and maintain virtual networking (vSwitches, VLANs, QoS, SR-IOV) and optimize host performance
- Design, administer, and troubleshoot Active Directory, including GPOs, RBAC models, replication, and tiered access strategies
- Manage hybrid identity solutions using Microsoft Entra ID and Entra Connect
- Develop and maintain PowerShell automation for provisioning, monitoring, reporting, and system maintenance
- Administer Cisco UCS infrastructure and Cisco Intersight, including server profiles, policies, and firmware upgrades
- Support and maintain enterprise storage platforms (Pure Storage, NetApp, Dell EMC Unity), including provisioning, performance tuning, and capacity planning
This is a full-time position that is based in NYC - in the office 2-3 days a week.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in systems engineering within a large law firm
- Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Hyper-V in clustered production environments
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server administration
- Advanced PowerShell experience for automation, monitoring, and infrastructure lifecycle management
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity architectures; Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewall rules)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with Guardicore Centra or network micro-segmentation tools
