Job description

  • Architect, manage, and support Microsoft Hyper-V clusters, including failover clustering, live migration, and Storage Spaces Direct (S2D)
  • Administer System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) for host management, networking, VM provisioning, and lifecycle operations
  • Configure and maintain virtual networking (vSwitches, VLANs, QoS, SR-IOV) and optimize host performance
  • Design, administer, and troubleshoot Active Directory, including GPOs, RBAC models, replication, and tiered access strategies
  • Manage hybrid identity solutions using Microsoft Entra ID and Entra Connect
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell automation for provisioning, monitoring, reporting, and system maintenance
  • Administer Cisco UCS infrastructure and Cisco Intersight, including server profiles, policies, and firmware upgrades
  • Support and maintain enterprise storage platforms (Pure Storage, NetApp, Dell EMC Unity), including provisioning, performance tuning, and capacity planning

This is a full-time position that is based in NYC - in the office 2-3 days a week.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in systems engineering within a large law firm
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Hyper-V in clustered production environments
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server administration
  • Advanced PowerShell experience for automation, monitoring, and infrastructure lifecycle management
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity architectures; Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewall rules)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Guardicore Centra or network micro-segmentation tools

$160k-$180k base salary Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, level of experience, geographic location, education, and consideration of internal equity.
