Job description
You will lead the development of Unified Data Models (UDM), define transformation logic, and partner with distributed data engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions., * Design, develop, and maintain Unified Data Models (UDM) and data architecture artifacts
- Define data transformation rules, routing logic, and schema evolution processes
- Architect and optimize data lakehouse solutions using Azure Databricks
- Collaborate with data engineers to implement scalable pipelines and processing layers (ingest, transform, curated)
- Establish and enforce data governance, lineage, and quality standards
- Review and approve data pipeline designs and architecture decisions
- Define partitioning, storage, and performance optimization strategies
- Support CI/CD pipelines for Databricks and data infrastructure
- Partner with global teams (including offshore teams in India) to deliver solutions
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and best practices across teams
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in Data Architecture / Data Engineering / Data Modeling
- Strong experience with Unified Data Modeling (UDM)
- Advanced SQL skills
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and data lakehouse architecture
- Experience designing multi-layer data models (raw, transformed, curated)
- Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, metadata, and data quality frameworks
- Experience defining schema evolution, transformation logic, and data processing rules
- Experience working with distributed/global teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills, * Experience with Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog
- Knowledge of streaming data (Kafka, Event Hubs)
- Experience with data catalog tools (Purview, Alation)
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitOps
- Experience with Docker / Kubernetes
- Background in aviation, training analytics, or enterprise analytics platforms This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Benefits & conditions
Pay Details: $70.59 to $84.00 per hour
