Job description
We are actively hiring Entry-Level Data Center Cabling Technicians to support large-scale data center buildouts. This is a hands-on role ideal for hard-working individuals looking to start or grow a career in structured cabling and network infrastructure. You'll work both inside and outside of data center environments, installing and supporting critical network and cabling systems that power today's technology.
This role offers steady hours, long-term opportunity, and exposure to enterprise-level infrastructure projects., + Installing racks, patch panels, cross connects, and fiber hardware
- Layout and install wireway, bus duct, cable tray, switches, receptacles, and related devices
- Complete rack and stack work for network equipment
- Terminate 110/66 blocks, patch panels, and other IDC connections
- Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling as required
- Pull cable and/or assist with or oversee conduit installation and wire pulling
- Read and work from blueprints, drawings, and project documentation
- Safely operate hand and power tools such as:
- Cable cutters
- Hammer drills
- Compression tools
- Jack hammers and similar equipment
- Maintain quality, safety, and cleanliness standards on job sites
Requirements
- Basic experience or exposure to structured cabling (school, training, or field experience)
- Familiarity with:
- Cat5 / Cat6 cabling
- Punchdown terminations
- Rack & stack
- Cable installation
- Understanding of universal communications color codes
- Ability to interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Comfortable working in physically demanding environments (lifting, standing, ladder work, indoor/outdoor conditions)
- Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn, * Must possess and be proficient with commonly used cabling and installation tools
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools requiring two-handed use, * Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Team-oriented but able to work independently
- Interest in building a long-term career in data centers, network infrastructure, or low-voltage systems, * Long-term career potential in a fast-growing industry
- Consistent Monday-Friday schedule
- Gain experience working in large-scale data center environments
- Build highly marketable technical skills
Benefits & conditions
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Social Circle, GA. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
