Network Engineer

WWT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to support a growing network environment across multiple sites in Austin, Texas. This role focuses on true ground up network deployment and ongoing operations within siloed networks. The position is a six month initial contract, requires forty hours per week, and requires full time onsite presence in Austin. Flexibility to support scheduled network downtime outside of standard business hours is required approximately twice per month. Responsibilities:

• Lead ground up deployment of siloed network environments and supporting infrastructure.
• Provision, configure, and validate network equipment to ensure performance, stability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with a team of five engineers, including senior and junior resources, to support daily operations and troubleshooting.
• Design and implement network solutions within siloed environments to ensure proper integration and functionality.
• Partner closely with security engineers to support SDWAN and firewall configurations and related initiatives.
• Travel between local Austin area sites as required to support deployments and operations.

• Demonstrated experience deploying and supporting network infrastructure within data centers and Intermediate Distribution Frames.
• Hands on experience with Juniper, Palo Alto, and Meraki network platforms.
• Strong knowledge of network design, implementation, and troubleshooting practices.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple workstreams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
