Azure Integration Developer

The Azure Integration Developer will design and build a secure, reliable Azure-based HTTPS integration service, supporting testing, monitoring and a structured handover into internal support teams., Design and build a train-facing HTTPS API using Microsoft Azure services.

Receive and process HTTPS requests from onboard seat reservation systems.

Transform source reservation data into defined JSON response structures based on supplied interface documentation.

Implement storage for reservation payloads, configuration settings, mappings and version information.

Ensure secure handling of secrets, configuration and connectivity using Azure best practice.

Implement logging, monitoring and fault handling using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

Build a simple test harness or simulator to enable testing outside of the live train environment.

Support testing cycles, defect resolution and refinement through to a stable first release.

Produce clear technical documentation and handover materials for internal support teams.

Work under internal technical oversight and align with agreed architectural direction.

Proven experience building Azure-based integration services.

Experience working with Azure Storage (ideally Table Storage or equivalent).

Experience implementing secure configuration and secrets management (eg Azure Key Vault).

Experience with Azure monitoring tools including Application Insights.

Strong data transformation and mapping skills.

Ability to work from interface specifications and deliver robust technical solutions.

Experience documenting solutions and supporting structured testing processes.

Desirable skills and experience:

Experience with Azure Table Storage.

Experience with Power Automate or Logic Apps.

Experience building test harnesses or API simulators.

Experience with IP restrictions, certificates and secure external connectivity.

Background in transport, operational technology or polling-based integrations.

Experience supporting Dev/Test deployments and formal technical handover.
