Job description
Designing and implementing robust cybersecurity strategies to safeguard enterprise systems, networks, and data against evolving threats
- Conducting detailed risk and vulnerability assessments, and developing mitigation plans aligned with DoD guidelines and industry best practices
- Monitoring security systems and analyzing data to detect anomalies, manage incidents, and ensure rapid response to potential breaches
- Collaborating with IT and security teams to integrate security controls into system configurations and operational procedures
- Preparing comprehensive technical reports and security documentation, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement and compliance monitoring
Requirements
- 10 or more years of experience in a information security analysts cybersecurity specialist role
- Five or more years of experience must be in performing the foregoing functions on communication systems or networks
- Three or more years of experience in either a broad background in numerous cybersecurity technologies/policy organizations or have a deep background in a specific cyber technology such as: Cross Domain Solutions, Multi-Level Security (MLS), Host Based Security Systems, Identity Management Solutions, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Computer Hacking Forensics, PKI, Mobile Device Management, Wireless Security Solutions, COMSEC, Cryptography, or other emerging cyber technology solution
- Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, cyber security engineering, computer science, information systems, or similar degree
- Demonstrated ability to develop and enforce comprehensive cybersecurity policies and procedures in accordance with DoD and industry standards.
- Proficient in conducting risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and threat analyses to identify and mitigate potential security gaps.
- Skilled in implementing and managing security controls, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and SIEM platforms, to protect critical assets.
- One or more of the following: Certified Information System Security Professional - Engineering (CISSP-ISSEP), Certified Information System Security Professional - Architect (CISSP-ISSAP) or similar (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Possess an Active DoD TS Security Clearance

- Proven experience with advanced threat intelligence tools and automation platforms to enhance proactive security measures
- Familiarity with cloud security architectures and best practices, particularly within hybrid IT environments
- Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional security initiatives and strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with the ability to rapidly diagnose and resolve complex cybersecurity incidents
