Job description
- A Senior SAP PMMO (Project Manufacturing Management & Optimization) Functional Lead is a high-level expert responsible for designing and implementing solutions that track material and cost flows at a project level within complex manufacturing environments like Aerospace & Defense.
- Lead Complex Solution Design & Implementation: Serve as the primary functional expert for implementing SAP PMMO/GPD (Grouping, Pegging, and Distribution) best practices, including migrating legacy ECC GPD systems to S/4HANA PMMO.
- End-to-End Functional Delivery: Lead workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements, perform full-cycle configuration, and author detailed functional specifications (FDS) and Business Process Designs (BPD).
- Cross-Functional Module Integration: Ensure seamless integration between PMMO and core SAP modules, specifically Project Systems (PS), Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM), and Controlling (CO) for accurate material costing and project-level inventory visibility.
- Advanced Manufacturing & Planning Expertise: Configure sophisticated planning strategies such as Make-to-Order (MTO), Lead Time Scheduling, Capacity Planning, and MRP Areas to optimize project-based manufacturing execution.
Requirements
- Professional Experience & Industry Knowledge: Typically requires 10-15+ years of SAP experience, including at least 3-4 full-lifecycle S/4HANA implementations, often within the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) industry.
- Technical & Regulatory Compliance: Proven ability to handle complex actual costing requirements in compliance with government regulations like DCAA and DFARS MMAS, often requiring high-level security clearance for DoD projects.
- Team Leadership & Quality Governance: Manage project delivery cycles, mentor junior resources, and oversee rigorous testing phases (Unit, SIT, and UAT) while ensuring adherence to SAP "clean core" and standardized best practices.
