TELECOMMUTE Lead Data Scientist

Lead Data Scientist should demonstrate expertise in classical Machine Learning and possess production experience in at least one of the following domains: NLP (Natural Language Processing), CV (Computer Vision), Time Series, MLE/MLOps (Machine Learning Engineering/Operationalization), Recommendation Systems. The primary benefit is the diversity of projects and opportunities, offering a new challenge with each assignment. Please note that working from the EPAM office 3 days per week is required. Responsibilities Shape AI/ML driven solutions for EPAM's clients and teams Propose solutions and strategies to address business challenges Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business value to clients Stay updated with advancements in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Requirements Minimum 5 years of production experience in Data Science and Machine Learning Track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams Expertise in at least one domain: Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLM), Machine Learning Engineering, Time Series Analysis, Generative AI (GenAI) Proficiency in Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow Background in the Python ecosystem and data science libraries including pandas, scikit-learn, numpy Skills in handling time series data and developing predictive models Familiarity with deploying and optimizing LLMs and GenAI solutions in real-world applications Nice to have Knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) Skills in communication and presentation to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences Fluency in English at minimum B2 level Familiarity with New Relic and PagerDuty
