Job description
The Cloud & Datacenter Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud and on-premises infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of systems while supporting hybrid environments and driving infrastructure modernization., * Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- Maintain and optimize on-premises datacenter systems including servers, storage, and networking
- Configure and manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; proactively address issues
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation)
- Ensure security best practices across cloud and datacenter environments (identity management, patching, vulnerability remediation)
- Support network configuration including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers
- Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams for deployments and integrations
- Maintain documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux/Windows Server)
- Experience with virtualization and storage technologies
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls), * Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator), * Cloud architecture and hybrid infrastructure
