Network Engineer

TEKsystems is looking to add a Network Engineer to augment their Broadband Data team on a contract to hire bias. This position will work closely with the client's Broadband Network team and should have experience within layer 2 and 3. Typically day to day will be operating Nokia equipment via command lines, using VPN, VPRN, and WAN knowledge is plus but they will train on that. Will need to build and troubleshoot circuits. Building routers using script tools.

• Nokia experience (Nokia 7750, 7210, 7705)
• Nokia Command Line and GUI Experience
• Experience using MPLS, OSPF, BGP
• 5 years' experience in the telecommunications and/or data industry.
• Experience with of Layer 2 transport and IP connectivity.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the benefits of Wi-Fi technology and its short-comings.
• Working knowledge of TDM architecture required.
• Prior history working directly with customers and/or sales is preferred.
• Network + and/or CCNA level certification required.
• Excellent personal computer skills are required with emphasis in Windows, Excel, and Word.
• Broad experience with vendor equipment and products is required, including but not limited to: Nokia, Cisco Systems, Adtran, Juniper, Nortel, Fujitsu, Adtran - Blue Socket, Aerohive, and Occam-Calix.
• Experience with Netcracker software suites desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
