Tracking vehicles at scale

Our job is to track large fleets of vehicles. The nature and amount of data poses several challenges for a small team of developers. In this talk we will provide some learnings during our search for solutions of typical problems in this kind of setting: high data ingestion rate, aggregation of data on the fly, reliable cold storage, on-line filtering of GPS data, handling the dynamic relationship of vehicles and trailers, to name a few.
