Job description

The lead information systems technologist performs varied and highly complex technical activities regarding the automated business needs of department employees. Responsibilities are performed under general supervision. Responsibilities - What you’ll do

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as team leader for the group, providing technical guidance, coordinating work, and supporting a collaborative, high-performance environment.
  • Apply broad systems expertise, including Windows and Linux server environments, to support reliable, secure, and scalable enterprise solutions.
  • Architect and design application and integration solutions that align with organizational standards, technical best practices, and long-term business goals.
  • Lead and coordinate implementation of technical projects, ensuring effective planning, communication, risk management, and successful delivery.
  • Manage software licensing portfolios and assess business needs to recommend compliant, cost-effective, and sustainable technology solutions.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows support?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Bachelor’s Degree: Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, AND four years of increasingly responsible professional experience in positions related to information systems, OR

  • Associate’s Degree: Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, AND six years of increasingly responsible professional experience in positions related to information systems, OR
  • Eight years of increasingly responsible professional experience in positions related to information systems.

Special Working Conditions:

  • Job requires occasional, statewide, overnight travel.
