Job description

As a Technical Support Coordinator at Lantech, you’ll be a key problem-solver supporting our customers and internal teams by diagnosing and resolving technical issues across our full product line. You’ll work hands-on with controls-based systems while delivering excellent customer support. You will:

  • Provide technical support via phone, email, and video to customers, field service technicians, spare parts coordinators, and internal teams.
  • Troubleshoot and document electrical, mechanical, and programming-related issues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and other teams to develop effective solutions.
  • Manage and follow up on open service tickets to ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure service tickets are fully documented, including all troubleshooting steps, communications, and supporting data.
  • Program and support PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, light curtains, and related control components for the Parts team.
  • Submit requests for warranty and contract parts, including quotes, based on field service technician needs.
  • Participate in a rotating schedule to provide early or late shift coverage (10:00 AM-7:00 PM) and periodic after-hours support, which may include onsite assistance such as programming parts or removing components from machines on the production floor.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Word embeddings?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * 3-5 years of experience servicing, testing, maintaining, or troubleshooting controls-based industrial equipment.

  • Strong technical aptitude with a detail-oriented, self-motivated approach.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional communication style.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred; equivalent experience (minimum of 5 years) will be considered.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience troubleshooting RSLogix 500 and RSLogix 5000 PLC logic.
  • Familiarity with WinMan software.
