Job description
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver technology initiatives supporting a manufacturing environment. This role will oversee cross-functional projects involving enterprise systems, infrastructure, and operational technologies, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets.
The ideal candidate has a strong background managing IT projects in manufacturing or industrial settings, with experience coordinating between IT, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders., * Lead end-to-end execution of IT projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, plant operations, and technical teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies
- Facilitate cross-functional communication between IT, manufacturing, supply chain, and leadership teams
- Drive project governance, status reporting, and stakeholder updates
- Identify and manage dependencies across multiple initiatives
- Ensure alignment with organizational priorities and compliance standards
- Track and report on project KPIs, milestones, and outcomes
- Lead vendor coordination and oversee third-party deliverables when applicable
- Promote best practices in project management, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches
Requirements
Do you have a valid Certified Project Manager certification?, Do you have experience in Technical Proficiency?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience managing IT projects
- Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
- Experience with enterprise systems such as ERP
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira)
- PMP, Scrum Master, or other project management certification preferred, but not required
Benefits & conditions
$40 - $55 an hour - Full-time, Contract, This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. The hourly rate is $40-55/hour depending on experience.
Candidates must be local to the Twin Cities, MN area. This is a W2 role and will not be available on C2C or via third parties.
