Job description

As a Systems Administrator, you play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining and enhancing our organization’s technology infrastructure. You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring the seamless operation of our systems, providing critical support, and implementing innovative solutions to optimize performance. This position reports to VP, Technology & Communications., 1. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.

  1. Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.
  2. Manage and maintain network servers and technology tools.
  3. Implement security measures and protocols to protect data and systems in accordance with ISO 27001 and CMMC.
  4. Troubleshoot and remediate any alerts brought on by 3 rd party tools reporting account takeovers, phishing attempts or other malicious activity
  5. Troubleshoot system and network issues, identifying and resolving hardware and software problems.
  6. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  7. Collaborate with IT team members to plan and implement system upgrades and improvements.
  8. Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and service records.
  9. Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and procedures.
  10. Monitor network performance and optimize server environments.
  11. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
  12. Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software procurement and maintenance.
  13. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure system integrity and security.
  14. Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operations.
  15. Administration of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD, and Office 365 environment
  16. Ensure all critical systems are backed up and periodically test the backups by recovering files
  17. Daily review of logs on both systems and applications
  18. Review any updates required for all systems to ensure they are safe from viruses or attacks
  19. Evaluate and optimize virtual server and storage environments
  20. Training users in the correct use of software and hardware within the company
  21. Develop workstation standards to be deployed by systems analysts
  22. Utilize Mobile Device Management to configure and manage company-owned mobile devices
  23. Perform problem-solving tasks when alerted by a user or by monitored systems
  24. Manage license counts for all systems
  25. Assist in managing the LAN/WLAN of all sites as well as the security perimeter
  26. Travel is limited.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology-related field or equivalent proven work experience required.
  2. Knowledgeable in managing an Active Directory structure to include Azure AD and Microsoft 365
  3. Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple systems while maintaining a secure posture for each individual system and workstation as well as the perimeter
  4. Experience with mobile device management including designing profiles, deploying software, and configuration settings.
  5. Knowledgeable in database management and security
  6. A working knowledge of Voice Over IP call systems
  7. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  8. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.

Preferred Skills

  1. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python
  2. Experience with virtual infrastructures such as VMWare and Hyper-V
  3. Working knowledge of Network protocols and services
  4. Superb customer service skills
  5. Excellent oral and written communication capabilities, including teaching, documenting new systems, and defining workflows and procedures.
