Job description
- Monitor the statewide Emergency Services IP Network (ESInet) and NG911 systems 24/7 to identify outages, alarms, or performance issues.
- Act as the first point of contact for PSAPs (Public Safety Answering Points) reporting technical problems or service interruptions.
- Receive, triage, document, and track support tickets through resolution.
- Troubleshoot network, telecom, and connectivity issues affecting 911 operations.
- Communicate with:
- 911 Directors and Supervisors
- Telecommunications Carriers
- Service Providers
- Internal Board and AT&T Tiger Team regarding outages, maintenance, and incident response
- Escalate complex incidents to Tier II, Tiger Team technicians, vendors, and carriers when required.
- Maintain documentation, ticket narration, and operational logs in Salesforce.
- Support operational continuity during emergencies, severe weather events, and disaster response situations.
- Monitor network security, system health, and telecommunications performance across PSAPs statewide.
- Coordinate reroutes or alternate communications paths during outages or call surges to maintain uninterrupted 911 service.
- Provide customer-service-focused support to PSAP personnel throughout North Carolina.
- Work onsite at 3900 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27609.

Requirements
Note: We need a candidate who has experience working with State or Federal clients and who is local to NC., * Excellent understanding of technologies, operating systems, networking, anti-virus, backups, firewalls, and switches. (3 Years)
- Knowledge of at least one of the following vendor technologies (3 Years):
- Cisco
- Juniper
- VMware
- Microsoft
- Strong writing and documentation skills. (3 Years)
- Knowledge of network cabling, network classifications, and network topology. (3 Years)
Highly Desired Skills
- VOIP Technologies (3 Years)
- NOC (Network Operations Center) Environment Experience (3 Years)
Benefits & conditions
- Night Shift: Monday - Friday (6:00 PM - 2:00 AM)
- Position requires flexibility to cover emergency callouts with short notice.
- May require coverage during:
- 2:00 AM - 6:00 AM
- 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Additional coverage for vacations, training, and operational requirements may be required.
