Job description

The Senior Data Quality Analyst / Databricks Implementation Specialist is a key leader within the Data Quality & Trust (DQ&T) organization. This role serves as a Domain Data Quality Lead, responsible for establishing domain-level data ownership structures, enabling business stewards, and ensuring that enterprise data products are trusted, well-governed, and technically sound across the Databricks Lakehouse platform.

This position operates at the intersection of data governance, technical implementation, and business domain leadership, ensuring that metadata, lineage, and data quality rules are complete, accurate, and aligned with enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

Domain Governance Leadership

Lead the design and implementation of domain-level data ownership structures.

Identify data products, rightful data stewards, and domain boundaries.

Facilitate governance workshops with business leaders and stewards.

Serve as the primary governance lead for assigned domains.

Steward Enablement & Methodology Execution

Guide stewards through the full governance methodology.

Support steward onboarding, training, and adoption of governance practices.

Ensure stewards understand how to maintain catalog entries, lineage, and quality rules.

Lighthouse Delivery & Governance Implementation

Lead governance activities within Lighthouse initiatives.

Ensure data products, metadata, lineage, and quality rules are complete and accurate.

Collaborate with Data Quality Specialists to identify gaps and drive remediation.

Align governance deliverables with Lighthouse timelines and enterprise priorities.

Databricks Implementation & Technical Alignment

Ensure domain data is properly structured within Unity Catalog.

Validate lineage across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.

Ensure quality rules are technically feasible and implemented in Databricks pipelines.

Partner with technical enablement resources for complex queries and troubleshooting.

Metadata, Lineage & Quality Rule Management

Ensure domain metadata completeness and steward approval.

Define and maintain data quality rules for critical data elements.

Validate lineage completeness across ingestion and transformation layers.

Monitor data quality metrics and partner with engineering teams on remediation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with business domains, data stewards, platform engineering, and Lighthouse teams.

Collaborate with methodology and tooling leads to ensure governance consistency.

Provide domain expertise and mentorship to Data Quality Specialists.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SQL?, 5+ years of experience in data quality, data governance, or data analysis.

Strong experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.

Deep understanding of data quality concepts and governance frameworks.

Proficiency in SQL and data analysis.

Ability to translate business meaning into technical specifications.

Strong communication and facilitation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience implementing domain-level governance.

Familiarity with Medallion Architecture.

Exposure to enterprise systems such as SAP, finance, operational telemetry, or customer systems.

Experience with metadata catalogs, business glossaries, or lineage tools.

Knowledge of data modeling or semantic layer design.

Pay: $61.01 per hour
