Job description
Systems Administrator to support a 24/7 industrial plant (~400 users), maintaining secure, reliable IT infrastructure while enabling connectivity between plant-floor (OT) systems and enterprise IT. This role is critical to uptime, cybersecurity, and operational continuity.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage servers, endpoints, Active Directory, and core network services.
- Ensure high system availability through monitoring, performance tuning, and proactive support.
- Secure and maintain network infrastructure (switches, firewalls, IT/OT segmentation).
- Troubleshoot issues across servers, networks, and enterprise applications.
- Lead patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation efforts.
- Apply cybersecurity controls aligned with enterprise and industrial standards.
- Support OT system connectivity and integration with enterprise platforms.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and IT to support production systems.
- Maintain clear documentation of systems, networks, and procedures.
- Support incident response and root cause analysis for outages and security events.
Requirements
- 5+ years in systems, infrastructure, or network administration (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Strong experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls).
- Exposure to OT/DCS environments and IT/OT network segmentation.
- Experience with monitoring, patching, and endpoint management tools.
- Proven troubleshooting skills in fast-paced or industrial environments.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and operations teams.
- Cybersecurity awareness across enterprise and industrial systems.
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, etc.) are a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing, chemical, or other industrial settings preferred.
