Job description

  • Produce detailed manufacturing drawings for pressure equipment, including pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Support the design and manufacture of pressure equipment in accordance with relevant industry standards and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives and deadlines are achieved.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Identify and resolve engineering and design-related issues through effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and technical support.
  • Plan and organise workload effectively to meet project targets and deliverables.
  • Work independently on assigned tasks while also contributing effectively within a team environment.

Requirements

Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in pressure equipment design and manufacturing to contribute to technically challenging projects within a fast-paced engineering environment., * Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within an engineering/manufacturing environment.

  • Practical experience producing manufacturing drawings for pressure equipment such as pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Understanding of pressure equipment manufacturing processes and associated engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey ideas, actions, and technical information.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capability.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Good computer literacy skills.
