GIS Technician

· Create GIS base maps to include plat information, lot numbers, streets and utility easements.

· Create and maintain GIS data sets.

· Create and maintain web maps and web applications.

· Create detailed construction packages utilizing ArcGIS Pro.

· Assist GIS Specialists and Systems Engineers with custom client GIS mapping requests.

· General understanding of OSP design, installation and maintenance activities.

· Working knowledge of telecommunications network structure; understanding of communications engineering and related systems.

· Adhere to internal and external GIS practices, standards, policies and procedures.

· Raise project concerns or risks to management, as necessary.

· Attend virtual meetings and trainings as needed.

· Perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management and based on the needs of the business.

Do you have experience in Employee relationship building?, Do you have a Bachelor of Science?, · Associates degree in GIS or Related field required; Bachelor of Science in GIS or related field preferred; OR 4 years of experience in related field.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Suites.

Preferred:

· Experience with Esri software suites.

· Familiarity with coding software such as Python or Model Builder.

· General knowledge of FTTx design.

· General knowledge in OSP design of fiber optic facilities, including aerial, underground, and buried applications.
