Job description
We are seeking a Director of Business Transformation to lead end-to-end process rethinking across MiniMedâs core MedTech operations - commercial, supply chain, quality, customer experience, and enabling functions. This role sits at the intersection of operational excellence, AI-native process design, and advanced analytics, with direct accountability for delivering measurable gross margin and OpEx impact. This is not an incremental improvement role. This is a mandate to fundamentally reimagine how MiniMed operates - using domain expertise, AI automation and data as primary levers.
What Youâll Do
Strategic Transformation Leadership
- Architect and execute end-to-end process transformation roadmaps across multiple operational domains simultaneously
- Partner with senior leaders to identify, prioritize, and build business cases for high-impact transformation opportunities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CTO and functional VPs on transformation strategy, sequencing, and value realization
AI & Data-Enabled Process Redesign
- Lead AI-first process redesign - applying intelligent automation, agentic AI, and advanced analytics to eliminate entire process steps, not just accelerate them
- Partner with AI engineers and data teams to co-design and deploy AI-driven workflows that fundamentally change how work gets done
- Establish governance and intake processes for AI/digital initiatives; proactively flag compliance and quality risks in an FDA-regulated environment
Process Excellence & Operational Performance
- Drive end-to-end process improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and systems-thinking methodologies to eliminate waste and standardize best-in-class operating models
- Build Management Operating Systems (MOS) with standardized KPIs and governance frameworks that drive sustained execution and accountability
Cross-Functional Leadership & Change Management
- Lead high-performing transformation teams across direct reports, embedded functional resources, and external partners
- Drive enterprise-wide change management to ensure adoption, sustainability, and cultural alignment
- Own value tracking for all assigned initiatives - with clear P&L linkage to MiniMedâs gross margin and OpEx improvement targets
Requirements
- Bachelorâs in business, Engineering, or related field; MBA strongly preferred
- 10+ years in operational transformation, process excellence, or digital transformation in large, complex organizations
- 7+ years of management experience
- Experience designing or deploying AI/automation solutions in an enterprise environment
- Strong financial acumen - business case development, P&L management, ROI-based prioritization
- Experience in medical devices, manufacturing, or other FDA-regulated industries
Nice to Have:
- Proven track record delivering $50M+ in measurable business impact through transformation programs
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks, LLMs, and application of AI to business process improvements
- Experience with SAP, Salesforce, Databricks, or equivalent enterprise platforms
- Background in supply chain, commercial operations, quality, or customer experience transformation in MedTech
- Six Sigma Green Belt minimum; Black Belt preferred
Leadership Profile
- Thinks in systems, moves fast, delivers with rigor
- Comfortable eliminating processes rather than optimizing them
- Communicates with confidence from frontline teams to the President level
- Thrives in ambiguity; bias for action with structured accountability
