Job description
- Leads complex IT procurement and contract negotiations across software, SaaS, and enterprise system implementations supporting large-scale government operations.
- Owns cradle-to-grave acquisition lifecycle, ensuring compliance, cost optimization, and alignment with security and regulatory requirements.
- Acts as a strategic partner to stakeholders and vendors, balancing operational needs with legal, financial, and procurement constraints.
Core Responsibilities
- Negotiate high-value IT software, SaaS, and services contracts, including pricing, SLAs, and enterprise license agreements.
- Manage full procurement lifecycle (RFP through award and administration) for large-scale IT and system integration initiatives.
- Redline and negotiate legal terms and conditions, including intellectual property, EULA language, and compliance requirements.
- Drive cost savings using commercial levers, including scope control, staffing optimization, and phased delivery strategies.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and IT stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards.
- Maintain vendor relationships while challenging risk, pricing, or contract terms to protect organizational interests.
Requirements
- 6 Minimum years of procurement and/or IT contracting experience.
- Proven experience negotiating IT software, SaaS, and IT services contracts with enterprise-scale scope and complexity.
- Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including RFP development, evaluation, negotiation, and contract administration.
- Experience redlining and negotiating IT contract legal terms, including IP rights, SLAs, and compliance provisions.
- Ability to drive cost savings through pricing strategy, scope definition, and resource planning.
- Strong stakeholder management and vendor negotiation skills, including handling complex or sensitive contract issues.
Preferred / Valuable Background
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as SAP, PeopleSoft, or Smartsheet in large-scale implementations.
- Background in government or highly regulated procurement environments, including compliance with security and policy standards.
- Experience supporting multi-department or enterprise-wide system integrations with high user impact.
Benefits & conditions
Pay: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour
