Job description

The Sr Director of Pulse Oximetry Platform plays a key role in leading the global marketing and strategy for our Pulse Oximetry portfolio, including our industry-leading SET technology. This role is responsible for driving global market adoption, portfolio growth, competitive positioning, strategic messaging, business development/M&A, and a comprehensive global strategy focused on ensuring and extending Masimo’s global leadership. Acting as a strategic thinker with deep clinical, commercial, and technical understanding of pulse oximetry and a proven track record in medical device marketing. This position will lead with innovating the core, working closely with cross-functional teams across the marketing, product development, and sales enablement., * Global Strategy & Execution:

  • Define and execute the global product marketing strategy for the pulse oximetry product line, aligned with company goals and clinical market dynamics.
  • Develop comprehensive go-to-market plans for new product introductions and enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, regulatory, sales, clinical, and regional marketing teams to shape product roadmaps and launch strategies.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence:
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis and segmentation to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Monitor competitive activity and market trends to shape proactive positioning and messaging strategies.
  • Analyze market dynamics and trends in opportunity areas.
  • Clinical & Value Messaging:
  • Translate complex clinical and technical data into clear, compelling value propositions for various stakeholders, including hospital executives, clinicians, and procurement.
  • Develop customer-facing collateral, thought leadership content, and sales enablement tools.
  • KOL & Customer Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), strategic partners, and early adopters.
  • Lead clinical education, trade shows, symposia, and customer advisory boards.
  • Cross-functional Leadership:
  • Lead cross-functional teams in launching products globally and ensuring commercial success post-launch.
  • Partner with sales leadership to support regional execution, training, and revenue acceleration initiatives.
  • Direct, plan, delegate and manage department budget and staff., This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local travel is necessary.

Requirements

  • 15 plus years of demonstrated success, preferably in the healthcare field.
  • Strong clinical acumen and ability to interpret and communicate complex medical data.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills.
  • Proven successful experience in the leading, motivating and developing of employees.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and building teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to successful completion.
  • Advanced ability with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time., * Experience leading global product launches and driving market adoption.
  • Prior experience working within a medical device or life science company.
  • Prior experience with engineering, sales, and/or marketing teams.
  • Strong familiarity with product development lifecycle.
  • Comfortable with the FDA and international medical device regulatory processes.
  • Knowledge of clinical monitoring devices or experience in clinical field.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Science, Engineering or related field required.

MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Benefits & conditions

The anticipated salary range for this position is $230,000 - $250,000 plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 25% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance.
