Job description

Commercial Technologies manages the enterprise’s portfolio of commercial technologies to maximize the business value of the technologies and enhance the customer experience. This function creates strategies for the portfolio and innovative solutions based on relationships with business leaders, develops back-end solutions and capabilities, and improves the front-end experience., * Work closely with internal team and technical lead on implementation of design.

  • Work effectively within large, matrixed project teams.
  • Collaborate with internal peers
  • Follow Cardinal Health’s software development lifecycle
  • Lead small to mid-sized technical initiatives and provide technical direction and input
  • Present live demos to senior business partners, unit CTO and senior leadership on a multi-million-dollar initiative
  • Utilizes development skills to build (code) and unit test new systems functionality per technical specifications, with deliverables to include code builds and documented unit test results.
  • Possess strong problem solving and communication skills. Must be able to articulate an issue, accurately identify solution options and communicate the best course of action to the internal stakeholders.
  • Enforcing sound development practices and ensuring the quality delivery of enterprise solutions
  • Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully, * Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects
  • May contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Works on complex projects of large scope
  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
  • Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives
  • Completes work; independently receives general guidance on new projects
  • Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives
  • May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of experience preferred
  • BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred. Advance Degree preferred
  • Background in developing applications in a J2EE, Java Web services (Micro Service/Rest Service)
  • Experience with multiple development languages including Java, Angular, Spring Boot, Google Cloud
  • Experience in an Agile environment, Candidates who are back-to-work, people with disabilities, without a college degree, and Veterans are encouraged to apply.
