Software Engineer

This position reports to and will work directly with the Director of Software Engineering and will require constant communication with vendors, customers (internal staff) and other developers, to assist with projects and company goals. The Software Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the software development life cycle for the development of both internal and external applications, including new and existing, as well as the ongoing support of those applications., Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Participate in requirements analysis.
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.
• Write clean, secure, scalable database code using SQL Server transact SQL
• Test and deploy applications and systems.
• Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
• Improve existing software.
• Develop new software.
• Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.
• Work directly with internal and external stakeholders to bring product enhancements from ideas to completion.
• Analysis of complex healthcare and financial data providing solutions to specific problems as well as insight to assist our consultants and customers.
• Provides maintenance on existing code for products. This includes minor product changes and defect repairs.
• Participates in Lean-Agile activities including stakeholder reviews, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field and/or 5+ years of experience directly related to job description.
• Hands-on software development, with proven experience in developing and supporting software products.
• Experience in querying, analyzing, and managing data. Proficient with SQL and experience with at least one RDBMS preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with multiple programming languages, preferably C#, JavaScript (Node, Typescript), including at least one front end framework (Angular/React/Vue) would be helpful
• Experience with .NET Framework and .NET CORE and related technologies.
• Experience in Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and/or server-related concepts.
• Experience in Microsoft SQL Integration Services or similar ETL toolset is a strong plus.
• Strong communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, can-do attitude with a natural ability to instill confidence and influence others.
• Familiarity with fast paced environments, competing priorities and high growth rates.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks at once.
• Ability to work independently when necessary.
• Experience with Healthcare data is a strong plus.
