Job description

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Developer III for a hybrid opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. Candidate will support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise-level applications in a collaborative and fast-paced technical environment. This role involves contributing to full lifecycle software development efforts, supporting modernization initiatives, and delivering scalable technical solutions aligned with business objectives., * Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain enterprise applications and system integrations

  • Analyze business and technical requirements to deliver scalable application solutions
  • Prepare technical specifications, workflows, and supporting system documentation
  • Support application deployments, upgrades, and production issue resolution
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders across multiple concurrent projects
  • Evaluate system enhancements, troubleshoot application issues, and recommend technical improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development, systems analysis, application testing, or related technical disciplines
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, system integration, and quality assurance practices
  • Experience working within enterprise technology environments, including distributed or legacy systems
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem resolution
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting project deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams

Preferred Skills/Experience of the Developer III:

  • Experience with Java development using modern JDK versions
  • Familiarity with JSON, XML, and RESTful web services
  • Experience with front-end and back-end web technologies
  • Knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL database technologies
  • Experience with Quarkus, containerized applications, or cloud-native development
  • Exposure to Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale or customer-facing applications
  • Experience with application upgrades, deployments, and modernization initiatives
