IT Project Manager / PMO-Banking System Modernization Project- ( Portuguese Bilingual) **Hybrid**

A Japanese financial institution is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager / PMO to support an internal core banking system modernization project. This position will be stationed onsite at a bank office in New Jersey and will work closely with teams in the U.S., Japan, and Brazil.

This project focuses on modernization and migration activities driven by EOS requirements for an internally developed banking system. The project does not involve new feature development, but rather system replacement, stabilization, and operational improvement within an emulator-based environment. The ideal candidate will have strong banking system knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to proactively coordinate across multiple stakeholders.

[ Essential Duties ] ・Coordinate and support core banking system modernization projects ・Manage project schedules, timelines, risks, issues, and stakeholder communications ・Collaborate with internal teams across the U.S., Japan, and Brazil offices ・Prepare status updates and executive-level internal reports ・Gather business and technical requirements from relevant stakeholders ・Support migration and EOS-related system replacement activities ・Facilitate communication between business users and technical teams ・Handle detailed operational and administrative project tasks as needed

・5+ years of experience in IT Project Management, PMO, or business application system development ・Experience with enterprise/business systems development (excluding pure infrastructure such as data center/network operations or in-house web application development) ・Knowledge of core banking operations, especially deposit-related functions ・Fluent English communication skills required (English may be a second language) ・Strong ability to communicate concisely and clearly with stakeholders and management ・Proactive mindset with strong information-gathering and coordination skills ・Ability to handle detailed and operational tasks with accuracy and consistency ・Banking industry experience strongly preferred ・Experience with financial institution system development is a plus ・Experience preparing executive-level reports is a plus ・Experience in IT/system planning is a plus ・Portuguese language skills are welcomed but not required ・Japanese language skills are welcomed but not required

[ Preferred Background ] ・Candidates with solid hands-on project experience and stakeholder management capabilities ・Candidates with banking industry backgrounds are preferred over securities or insurance industry experience ・Trust banking experience may be considered transferable, though direct banking experience is more desirable, * Are you fluent in Portuguese? • Do you have 5+ years of PM/PMO or business system development experience?
• Do you have knowledge or hands-on experience with core banking functions, such as deposit systems, at a financial institution?
• Do you have experience preparing internal reports or presentation materials for executive management?
• Do you have experience in system development projects for financial institutions?

$62 - $68 an hour - Temporary, Contract
