Job description

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist II to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative AI and machine learning projects that support family caregivers in their mission to provide exceptional care. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement supervised classification models for clinical risk assessment and caregiver engagement.
  • Develop natural language processing (NLP) pipelines for extracting insights from clinical texts.
  • Maintain and enhance large language model (LLM) tools for various applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Support the development of speech and audio machine learning pipelines for real-time applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate features and design scoring pipelines.
  • Monitor model performance and ensure data integrity throughout the machine learning lifecycle.
  • Participate in technical design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in Python, along with experience in libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
  • Proficiency in machine learning techniques, particularly in gradient boosting methods.
  • Hands-on experience with NLP tools and frameworks, including spaCy and Hugging Face Transformers.
  • Familiarity with machine learning operations (MLOps) standards and practices.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in healthcare or regulated data environments.
  • Knowledge of speech recognition models and sentiment analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and tools like Databricks.
  • Experience with SQL and data management across various environments.
