The Knowledge Management Manager leads the US KM function to ensure knowledge assets are embedded in core business processes. Reporting to the Solutions Director, this individual oversees U.S. KM operations, drives innovation in knowledge services, and leads a high-performing team of KM professionals across sectors and service lines., Knowledge Management Strategy
Collaborate with the Senior Director, Solutions to develop KM’s role in the Solutions portfolio and, alongside EU and APAC leads, to drive the firm’s global KM strategy, covering IP development, dissemination, and quality standards across sectors and service lines Ensure knowledge assets are embedded in business processes and accessible to consulting teams for proposal development, case delivery, and business development Coordinate with regional KM leaders and Strategy & Operations teams to set priorities and maintain global consistency Drive the firm’s knowledge agenda by identifying capability gaps, setting quality benchmarks, and championing best practices
Team Management and Engagement
Provide oversight of the US KM team and US-aligned, India-based Content team Support KM team members in developing expertise, building strong relationships, and amplifying impact Meet regularly with KM sector and service line teams to support progress on initiatives and address sector and stakeholder needs Drive the team to own and continuously improve the breadth, depth, and quality of recommendations and support Oversee onboarding of new team members and support professional development and career progression Foster a strong sense of KM team community and shared purpose across the function
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Drive the innovation and evolution of KM offerings and best practices, including: Increased automation of core processes Harnessing AI tools to surface new knowledge and insights at scale Identification and piloting of new services Unifying knowledge silos and repositories into a more streamlined interface Continued evolution of team structure and operating model Supporting further technology initiatives, including enhanced platform functionality Drive visibility and uptake of knowledge tools
Stakeholder and Cross-functional Collaboration
Promote and elevate the KM value proposition to senior stakeholders across the firm Collaborate with other Solutions leads (primary and secondary research) to integrate functions and functional knowledge for a more cohesive stakeholder experience Partner with sector and functional leaders and regional KM teams to align on knowledge priorities Advise on new and existing KM initiatives, providing strategic guidance to the broader team Represent KM interests in cross-functional forums, contributing to firmwide capability-building efforts
Requirements
5-10 or more years of experience in knowledge management, internal insights, or intellectual property (IP) management role Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams in a global or matrixed organization Strong understanding of ever-evolving KM principles, IP lifecycle management, and knowledge dissemination strategies Deep familiarity with KM technologies and AI tools, including proprietary search solutions and generative AI platforms Experience working across sectors and service lines, with the ability to set priorities and drive global consistency Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate the value of KM to diverse audiences Strong project management skills with a bias for action and continuous improvement

- Life insurance, The expected base salary range for this position is $100000 - $125,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. L.E.K. This role is based in either our Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, or San Francisco office and follows our hybrid work model for U.S. offices. We require employees to be in their assigned home office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week, as well as the first Friday of each month. The Solutions team works together to support and enable our consulting team members to generate best in class insights for our clients. Knowledge Management is critical to capturing the best of our consulting staff’s individual and collective expertise to make it available to the broader firm. KM is focused on developing and distributing insights, frameworks, and tools for our consulting team members to leverage on casework and business development, enabling consulting teams to utilize best-in-class insights, approaches, and be more efficient in their work.
